Tadpole Badges are a currency in Fallout 76 earned by completing specific challenges. They are required to purchase items Tadpole-related items from Tadpole Vending Machines and to unlock the Standard Backpack, which provides +60 Carry Weight.

How to get Tadpole Badges in Fallout 76
You can get Tadpole Badges by completing Word Challenges. You’ll see all of the Challenges in the World tab once you’ve talked to Scout Leader Jaggy at Pioneer Scout Camp and started the quest The Order of the Tadpole.
A total of 10 Tadpole Badges can be earned. These are the following badges:
- Tadpole: Archer
- Tadpole: Athlete
- Tadpole: Codebreaker
- Tadpole: Cook
- Tadpole: Entomologist
- Tadpole: Herpetologist
- Tadpole: Hunter
- Tadpole: Mammalogist
- Tadpole: Medic
- Tadpole: Swimmer
Each Tadpole Badge requires you to pass a specific Knowledge Exam. Additionally, you’ll need to complete several Challenges related to the theme of the respective Badge as seen in the following lists.
Tadpole: Archer
To get the Tadpole: Archer badge, you’ll need to complete the following challenges:
- Pass the “Archer” Knowledge Exam at an Exam Terminal.
- Complete the Pioneer Scouts shooting test.
- Craft Crossbow Bolts (50).
- Repair Crossbows (3).
- Kill enemies with a Crossbow (50).

To get the Tadpole: Athlete badge, you’ll need to complete the following challenges:
- Pass the “Athlete” Knowledge Exam at an Exam Terminal.
- Have a Strength stat greater than or equal to 5.
- Have an Agility stat greater than or equal to 6.
- Complete athletic course at Camp Venture.
- Complete athletic course at New River Gorge Bridge.-
- Complete athletic course at Sunnytop Ski Lanes.
Tadpole: Codebreaker
To get the Tadpole: Codebreaker badge, you’ll need to complete the following challenges:
- Pass the “Codebreaker” Knowledge Exam at an Exam Terminal.
- Hack into skill level “0” terminals (3)
- Hack into skill level “1” terminals (3)

- Hack into skill level “3” terminals (3)
- Solve a nuke launch code sequence by launching a nuke.
