De woningen worden gasloos en daarnaast beschikken de woningen over hoog isolerende beglazing, vloerverwarming en zonnepanelen. Inderdaad, duurzaamheid en comfort gaan hand in hand in Rijnvliet.
Rijnvliet blijft enorm populair en is nog steeds in ontwikkeling mede dankzij vele betrokken bewoners. Een aansprekend voorbeeld daarvan is het project: ‘de eetbare woonwijk Rijnvliet’ dat onlangs een internationale prijs in de wacht gesleept heeft. Een publieksjury van ruim duizend Europese burgers heeft de Innovation in Politics Awards 2021 toegekend aan Utrecht, in de categorie Ecologie. Een resultaat waar we trots op mogen zijn!
Nog dit jaar wordt de aanleg van het voedselbos in de wijk afgerond. Locatie Westelijk van Utrecht ligt een unieke wijk waar je perfect kunt wonen, werken, ondernemen en recreëren. Dichtbij de stad wonen in een ruime woning in een groene en waterrijke omgeving. Maar er is meer! Je fietst vanuit de wijk in 20 minuten over de nieuwe Dafne Schippersbrug naar de binnenstad van Utrecht. Of je neemt de snelle HOV-verbinding die je zo in hartje stad brengt. Daar is elke dag veel te beleven voor alle leeftijden. Utrecht is niet alleen een stad voor vrijwel alle studies, maar ook zeer geliefd vanwege zijn fraaie oude centrum waar vele en bijzondere winkels te vinden zijn. Verder het geweldige Centraal Museum, de schouwburg en het indrukwekkende muziekcentrum Tivoli/Vredenburg. Misschien is vooral de gezellige atmosfeer van het Utrechtse centrum wel het meest aanlokkelijk. Heerlijk langs de mooie grachten slenteren of fietsen, en genieten van een terrasje of een van de vele restaurants. Perfect gelegen Rijnvliet ligt zeer centraal in Nederland, waardoor alle grote steden heel goed bereikbaar zijn. In een paar minuten zit je op de A2 en de A12 naar Amsterdam, Den Bosch, Arnhem of Rotterdam/Den Haag!

Rijnvliet remains extremely popular and is still developing thanks to many involved residents. An appealing example of this is the project: 'the edible residential area Rijnvliet', which recently won an international prize. A public jury of more than a thousand European citizens has awarded the Innovation in Politics Awards 2021 to Utrecht in the Ecology category.
